Send Kevin written confirmation of the world cruise rebooking and the results of your investigation into: (1) moving the $50 British Isles deposit to the January 2027 world cruise, (2) the legitimacy and applicability of the $50 Viking air fee, and (3) eligibility for the $150 per person onboard credit he heard about in the webinar. Set a specific date by end of week to confirm these details.
Full analysis
What happened

Kevin called to move his Viking world cruise (Africa, departing January 2027) to Pavlus for rebooking, after speaking directly with Viking and receiving a quote. He also wants to transfer a $50 deposit from an existing British Isles booking (April 2026 Scandinavia sailing) to the new world cruise. He shared a Viking guest statement with cabin details and asked about a $50 air fee charge, an onboard credit promotion he heard in a webinar, and a $100 referral voucher Viking mentioned. Pam agreed to take over the bookings, attempt to move the deposit, and investigate the onboard credit eligibility. Kevin committed to emailing Pam the documentation.

Agent (Pam Chavez): Oh, I'm doing okay.
Customer: I heard that your mom passed. Sorry to hear that. Yeah.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Yeah, I just I'm back today and it's like I can't stop calling. Yeah, yeah, just no we've, we on Friday and it's just so, so fresh ring, so.
Customer: Oh, wow. Wow. Yeah, yeah, I can talk to you later if you need some time.
Customer: Oh, okay. Yeah, I called like the, I don't know, like the eight to ninth or something that they said that they, you're taking some time off you know, cause your mom passed so, so well hopefully, everything you know you're going to do, okay.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Yeah.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Yeah.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Yeah.
Agent (Pam Chavez): It's gonna be a while, but, oh.
Customer: Yeah, it takes a while my mom pass, carries mom passed little about two years ago and then my mom passed like three months later. So it's like, backed up back and it's like, Gee so, then it takes forever to clear the clear clearing the estate. I'm still screwing around with that. It takes forever. It just, just, he got to be real patient because you'll find stuff months years later that need to be taken care of. So.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Oh.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Like, how do you say by your mom?
Agent (Pam Chavez): Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Yeah.
Agent (Pam Chavez): We had moved her out of house of 54 years ago. So, you know, that was basically all done. So and the stuff that's leftover is just you know, minute, you know, minimal stuff basically.
Customer: Yeah.
Customer: Yeah.
Customer: Well, when, yeah. Well, when my dad, he was in tier C. C. he passed and I.
Customer: And a guy contacted my sister and he says, hey, your dead has some, some money from the state of New Mexico because if I find it I'll, pa fifty percent, so my sister calls me and I said I'm not paying anybody fifty percent. So I went to some website with the attorney general, New Mexico and, and you know, there's, there's all sorts of claims out there, I mean, he had three insurance policies were $15,000, nobody knew about, and I was able to get the money, but it's a pain in the ass, you know, not do it and my mom, yeah, my mom passed two and a half years ago and and I've got a claim in now with the state of Colorado because it's just amazing, you know, the money's, you know. Even though you think you know, what your parents do.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Oh, yeah, yeah. They.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Yeah.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Yeah, the, yeah. I think my sister basically in-charge of like the finances and stuff, and it's just really pathetic that my mom had been paying for this insurance policy. You know, that you see on freaking TV every, everyday the colonial pen, do you know, do you know how much, do you know how much, do you know how much money we got for that insurance policy after she's been paying for years and years and years. Yeah. 3800.
Customer: Or did?
Customer: Yeah.
Customer: Yup. Oh, yup. Yup. Yup. Yeah, eight, yup, exact the black guy.
Customer: Probably a couple of thousand if you're lucky how much?
Customer: Yeah, yeah. Oh, it's a scam. I mean, carry step mom is in the IC right now. So, Carrie is taking over bills and she got a bill for $8,000 it. So Carrie looked it up and she said, and it was alone and this lady has money say, why did you take a loan out? She goes, well, I went to some Dropo that they advertise on TV for free exam. She signed a $15,000 contract.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Stupid.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Mm-hmm.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Interesting.
Customer: And then she said she went three or four times it didn't like it. Well guess what she had to pitch for carry had to pay him. It's like $12,000 was due. It's like, oh, my god, so, it's yeah, no, it's the yeah, but I've seen that colonial pin with a black guy saying it's a so much a day. Yeah.
Agent (Pam Chavez): It's just, just, just stupid. Yeah, it's like, it was absolutely nothing and my mom's be paying on that for, I don't even know how long it's been, I think that's just absolutely ridiculous.
Customer: Yeah, years, I'm sure. Oh, I know, you know. Yeah, I know. It's a scam but they're out to get, you know, they target older, older people and them, you know, they just pay it. Thinking that's a going rate. So, here's what I wanna do.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Perfect.
Customer: Do you want to hear what I wanna do? Okay. Biking has a new world cruise that goes to Africa and we're gonna, we want to do it, because we'll be able to knock our far out while we're on a ship, basically.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Yeah, yeah.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Mm-hmm.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Oh, okay let me, let me get there real quickly. I got to get signed in. Oh, did you already book it.
Customer: And, I called Viking. Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, yeah, take your time. No, I looked, I called Viking yesterday and ask him about she sent me a quote and, you know, we didn't I've told I'm gonna transfer it to you. Do you want me to send you who the email?
Agent (Pam Chavez): Mm-hmm yeah, yeah, yeah, just send me, just send me the confirmation or whatever did you put, are you putting $50 down or how much?
Customer: Yeah, I've got a confirmation. No, I didn't do shit. I told him I was gonna talk to you on Monday. I know I've got a confirmation number or booking number. You, you're re.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Okay, okay.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Yeah, yeah, yeah, just, just send, just forward that to me and I'll go ahead and take it over.
Customer: Okay, yeah, here here's a question for you. Somebody said this one does the British iles. So I'm gonna, I'm gonna, I'm not gonna do the which I was gonna do next year. Can I transfer it? Is there such a somebody tell me you could transfer a booking?
Agent (Pam Chavez): Uh-huh.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Mm-hmm.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Uh-huh.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Hold on just a second. Let me just look at which. Okay, so.
Customer: Yeah, yeah, I've got the British Illes confirmation, if you need it I'm looking at.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Well, I, I'll be able to find it here if it's, if I have it, which, which one is the scan Navio or.
Customer: Yeah, it's in. Yeah, scan in a, it's April of a 2026. Yeah, I just put $50 down but I mean, it's no big deal.
Agent (Pam Chavez): April 7th, 2026, okay, the right how much are they requiring for a deposit on the wall cruise?
Customer: They are looking for a lot. She told me fifteen or 14500 I guess they won't like, ten percent or something it.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Oh, okay. Okay, alright, well, yeah, I can probably well I'll ask I don't know if they're gonna let me but I'll ask just move that $50 or $4,835 over there to the new sing or to the world cruise booking.
Customer: Yeah.
Customer: Yeah. No that's cool. Yeah.
Customer: Yeah, I'll send you the, she sent me a whole guest statement with all the, you know, the cabin number, and the, and the one thing they did, she, they're charging me $50 for biking air, is that, have you heard that? Cause it, this is complimentary business air, and I, it's like, why the hell they charge me $50 for air fee. Just, just curious if that's something new, if I'm flying from Reno. Yeah, I'll just send you this thing, how's that?
Agent (Pam Chavez): Okay, okay.
Agent (Pam Chavez): I don't know.
Agent (Pam Chavez): I have no idea. Yeah.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Yeah, yeah, that's fine, that's fine. And that's for 2026 yes.
Customer: Yeah, cool. No, it's January 2027 two years from now. It leaves January eighth or something of 2027.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Or 27.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Okay, okay, okay.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Okay.
Customer: Seven, yeah? Alright, yeah, I'll send you the things cause she put the, yeah. Oh, oh, oh, yeah, yeah, that's cool. Hey, one more thing, I dialed into a tables webinar on Viking cruises and I was in my car so I can only hear part of it. I think it was there a lady named Janet or somebody who did it. Did, and did she say something about you could get a Pam discount if you booked. I don't know, I, it's hard for me to hear when I was driving.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Alright. Yeah, yeah, go and send it over and I'll call and, and take it over and then I'll see about moving this money over.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Uh-huh. Uh-huh.
Agent (Pam Chavez): Uh-huh. Yeah, yeah.
Agent (Pam Chavez): I don't know. Let me look here. Yeah, I'll definitely see about being able to add-on that, but I'm kind of $150 per person onboard credit combinable all offers is what it says, twenty twenty five and twenty, twenty seven sailing. So, yeah, I'll try to add that. Yeah, you'll probably get $1,000 anyway for all more credit anyway. Anyway, don't you?
Customer: I don't know you can check on it. Okay.
Customer: No, I know you get stuff going on.
Customer: Okay, yeah.
Customer: Oh, yeah, so you can do it. What the hell? Okay.
Customer: Yeah, and then, then the Viking lady told me I had a voucher with Viking, I have no idea. She said I had $100 voucher from some who knows, probably.
Agent (Pam Chavez): It's probably referral like the, what's the last name of the Blok the blank.
Customer: Where I referred somebody. Yeah, okay. Yeah block, yeah, maybe that's it. Alright, cool, I'll put all this in an email. How's that sounds good. Alright Pam, I appreciate it. You take care. You too, bye-bye bye.
